  • County party chair
  • Two vice chairs
  • Treasurer and secretary are appointed positions

You can see the list of people who are registered for SCC in the Registrants tab.

See the Democratic Party Roles, Responsibilities, and Powers to see what it means to be a

  • Ward officer: ward chair, vice chair, secretary
  • Precinct chair
  • Rules and resolutions committee member
  • CCC member (county central committee)
  • DPBC officer: county party chair, two vice chairs
  • DPBC treasurer & secretary (appointed by party chair)
  • SCC (state central committee)

We are sorry but registration is now closed.

County Officer & SCC voting
  • The newly elected CCC members will be the electors.
  • Voting will start Sunday, March 30 when electronic ballots are emailed to all CCC members.
  • Voting will end at noon on Wednesday, April 2.
  • CCC members will vote for DPBC officers: chair and two vice chairs
  • CCC members residing in CD 1 will vote to elect 129 SCC members in CD 1.
  • CCC members residing in CD 2 will vote to elect 33 SCC members in CD 2.
  • Vote tally will be by ranked choice (RCV).

While there are gender balance considerations in the final outcome of the County Officer & SCC voting, electors should not vote based on a candidate’s gender; they should vote for candidates they support. The gender balance will be implemented as part of the vote counting process, and is based on a number of factors related to the number of votes each candidate receives.

Notes about ward, precinct, & CCC voting

(the 2025 election for this is over):

  • Only people within the same precinct can vote for their precinct chair.
  • A precinct chair cannot be elected with just one vote.
  • In order to receive a ballot, there must be at least two people registered in a precinct, and one of them must be a candidate for precinct chair.
  • If, as a consequence, no precinct chair is elected for a precinct, they can be appointed after the election is over, so there is still time to organize your precinct!

Please note that this listing is the final.

1-11D187Trujillo, Jacob AMChairHello CCC! I’m Jacob Trujillo and I’m running to become your next Chair. As a 24-year-old working at the crossroads of government politics and advocacy I am ready to lead us through this dark time. With my lived and career experience I know how important it is to fight for what you believe in. I believe in the future we will make of the Democratic Party through advocacy accountability service and people power. As your chair I will make sure we are fighting towards that future. We will fight for democracy for the middle class for protecting our most vulnerable communities for a Democratic Party that is for the people—by the people and for a brighter tomorrow. By launching my strategic “ASAP” plan we will fill our CCC resume in-person meetings become better advocates increase our service projects become an accountable and transparent party grow our people power through participation nurture leaders of tomorrow and strategically use funds raised in areas like media ward development and direct outreach. Despite the darkness around us I believe that our next chapter will be our brightest. I humbly ask for your vote and support because we can do this—together. Learn more at JacobForNM.com.
1-31A447Moseley, Kathleen AFVice Chair1.) As a public health nurse I know that in quality assurance, structure must be there for any process, and both structure and process determine outcomes. I would like to contribute to maintaining and improving the structure and process of the Democratic party SO THAT we can better deliver outcomes. We have about 638 county precincts and only 200 precinct chairs. Would like to understand how to increase. 2.) As a nurse I would like to integrate health of our community as an outcome measure of effectiveness of the outcomes we monitor; that means firearm safety policy alcoholism maternal mental health & mortality and infant mortality & groceries. That means how many people have health insurance or do not and how many people are scared of medical bills. 3.) Having had the experience of raising a child with multiple disabilities, I would like to increase the participation of those who are Deaf and HH visually impaired, and I know that will likely require specific fundraising and outreach, but I would like to help lend my shoulder to the wheel for that purpose. 4.) I would like to help Jacob work toward a 3 month look ahead for ward structures to anticipate processes

-10A213Lasky, GaryMAs a Democratic Party campaign volunteer and staffer I’ve learned the importance of listening to voters face-to-face and to train empower elevate and support our Democratic volunteers in the hard work of voter engagement and building our Party. My campaign experience includes organizing staff to the Udall for Senate campaign in 2008 field organizer staff to President Obama’s reelection in 2012 and as a full-time volunteer for Bernie Sanders in 2016. I was elected to the DPNM State Central Committee in 2019 where I've served three terms and as a delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Presently I am the Bernalillo County Ward 10A Chair. I recently completed the 2025 legislative session in Santa Fe as an environmental analyst for the New Mexico State Senate Democratic leadership. We are now ON OUR OWN and can no longer count on Congress and our legislature passed a law to create a firewall to protect New Mexico’s precious water supplies from pollution. Our Democratic activists are discouraged especially in our rural counties which have watched as once-Democratic regions turn Republican. Efforts by Trump to shred our environmental protections and constitutional rights are scary indeed. We have no choice but to fight back.
-10A213Winslow, Tracy LFI am running for the SCC because this is a moment of change a moment we need to flip the script and build a new party. It is of the utmost importance to have people at the table who are ready for this. People who are ready to ask why some of our representatives are not working for us. Why in a time like today we are not hearing their voices rise loud above those who are trying to turn our country into a fascist state. We also need people at that table who are going to listen and really hear the new voices that are joining us. We need people who are ready to see those who are bubbling up through the grass roots movements and are ready to lead. Yes this vote is for people who are here to elect the new leadership in the state party. But that is just one step on their journey as an SCC member. We can no longer exist on auto pilot. We have to build a new party that people can believe in again and this has to start at the state and local level.
-11A151Gamelsky, Lee DMI am a lifelong democratPct chair 151 former SCC member. Also as an architect bee keeper and farmer I bring a realistic perspective to the party on environmentalland use development water and energy issues.
-11A153Lang, Zachary RyanMI grew up involved in politics as the son of a former state senator and county commissioner. Given the state of things around the country right now it feels critical that is time to get involved. As an educator I want to be able to walk the talk of telling students that there are many ways we can be involved in our political system. I would love to be apart of the SCC and work to strengthen the democratic party of Bernalillo
-11A154Kmak, Robert WMI have been active in the Dem party for several years as a precinct chair and the ward chair for the last 4 years. I want to ensure that ward 11A is represented in the SCC and that we fight to keep our democracy.
-11A162Lucero, Lora AnneFI'm running for SCC because I believe the Democratic Party can rise to the challenge of meeting the needs and fundamental rights of every New Mexican old and young urban and rural every faith tradition and every ancestral heritage. We are one undivided humanity and Trump will not succeed in tearing us apart. I'm a retired lawyer and city planner a mother of 3 grown sons grandmother and a great-grandmother. They are my foundation and my inspiration for working tirelessly to build a better world. I'm currently Chair of Ward 11A as well as co-leader of the Progressive Democrats of America.
-11A162Perez, Abran JMI am running for the position to ensure than our state if New Mexico stays blue for the far future. And also to help make changes on the national level and ensure that democracy does not ever leave our country.
-11A162Remillard, Lourdes EnriquezFI am running for the Democratic Party State Central Committee of New Mexico because I believe in a government that truly serves its people not just the wealthy and powerful. My core values are rooted in equity justice and compassion—ensuring that every person regardless of their background has access to basic human rights such as healthcare fair wages housing and protection from discrimination. I have dedicated my time to supporting marginalized communities advocating for workers’ rights and fighting against policies that benefit the billionaire class while leaving hardworking Americans behind. I have seen firsthand the damage caused by economic inequality political corruption and unchecked corporate influence and I refuse to stand by while those in power continue to rig the system against everyday people. My goal is to help build a Democratic Party that prioritizes social and economic justice combats misinformation and stands firm against the growing threats of authoritarianism and discrimination. I believe in a future where our party fights unapologetically for working-class families LGBTQ+ rights and policies that uplift those who have been ignored for too long. Together we can create meaningful change—change that truly represents the values and needs of the people of New Mexico.
-11A162Saiz, Jonathan DavidMAs a dedicated educator and advocate I am committed to strengthening our schools supporting educators and ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education. Born and raised in Bernalillo County I have devoted my career to serving my community guided by the principles instilled in me as the son of a lifelong union member. I am a proud NMHU graduate and a current doctoral student at UNM. My academic and professional journey has been focused on advancing equity in education expanding opportunities and empowering the next generation of leaders. I believe deeply in the middle class the power of unions and the transformative role of public education. These values have shaped my career in public service and remain the foundation of my commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community that has given me so much. As a proud Democrat I understand the importance of civic engagement and our shared responsibility in shaping our communities' future. I look forward to continuing my advocacy for policies that uplift working families strengthen our education system and build a brighter future for all. We can create a stronger more prosperous New Mexico—where opportunity fairness and progress define our path forward.
-11A166Clark, Alicia AthenaFI am running for a spot on the State Central Committee for the Democratic Party for New Mexico because I want to be more actively involved in the Democratic Party and because I believe it is both a duty and a privilege to participate in self-government. I have been an attorney with New Mexico Legal Aid for the past 17 years and a voter since the age of 18. Obviously I am very concerned at what the Republicans in Congress are allowing to happen to our country and am very concerned for the survivial of our constitutional republic. I want to do whatever I can to help. Thank you for reading my statement.
-11B150Stern Powell, Jake MMI've served the Democratic Party in several roles over the past few years including Precinct Chair CCC member SCC member and 1st Vice Chair of the Bernalillo County Democratic Party. Currently I work for a nationwide organization focused on recruiting downballot candidates and supporting rural Democratic Parties at the county level. As part of my work I've coached county party chairs and potential candidates helped garner the organization national press attention and traveled to rural counties during the 2024 election to get out the vote. While I plan to yield my SCC vote to further unite and improve the party I have one campaign promise: I will never send you a mass email you didn't specifically sign up for.
-11B152Lucero, Flora TFParticipating in our democracy is a valuable privilege. I am grateful for that opportunity.
-11C163Kempton, Mari ShirleyFI believe that getting progressive and diverse candidates to run and win is the best way to move towards better policy a fair economy and a system that protects its people. I hope to work towards making the party more accessible and inclusive.
-11C163Ortega, Frances TFNow more than ever is a time to work toward strengthening our democracy. I'm pleased to see primary elections opening (i.e. Legislative session 2025 Parajon) to parties outside democrats and republicans yet I wonder how many of those voters will take advantage of this. I aim to build an informed electorate with increased participation alongside my neighbors and friends.
-11C165Garcia, Felice MFI am running for the State Central Committee of the Democratic Party of New Mexico because I believe democrats can and must do a better job of reaching out to those who feel unseen and unheard. I have served as an SCC member and Ward Chair after the 2016 elections. Democrats must return to promoting inclusion equity compassion and resilience. We must build a coalition of voters and leaders inclusive of those from marginalized communities and understand how to support all New Mexicans promote living wages affordable housing protection from gun violence access to effective affordable healthcare clean air and water and education that prepares New Mexico’s children to thrive. Our communities and our values must be our priority while we resist the growing authoritarianism and divisive narrative in Washington as billionaires are given unchecked authority to dismantle congressionally mandated institutions. We must work together to oppose misinformation and replace it with meaningful listening and engagement across New Mexico and grow a party inclusive of the diversity of all our people. We have the resources to grow a healthy safe and prosperous New Mexico for all it is time to create the change we need.
-11C165Garcia, Alexandra MarieFI am running for SCC because I believe in building a Democratic Party that truly reflects and represents the voices of all New Mexicans. As a lifelong New Mexican healthcare advocate and current Executive Director of a statewide association I have seen firsthand how policy decisions affect our communities—especially rural underserved and working-class families. I am committed to equity transparency and grassroots empowerment and I want to ensure that our party is accessible inclusive and driven by bold progressive values. I bring experience in organizing coalition-building and advocacy and I’m ready to help strengthen the Democratic Party from the ground up.
-11D187Jones, Jordan DouglasMI have been happy for nearly a year to volunteer as editor of the Blue Review writing articles and helping inform and engage the county party. We have done some great things as a party in New Mexico and have kept the state and federal elected offices blue. But there is more that we can and need to do to protect and restore democracy nationally. This is why it's critical that we have a vibrant active party that reaches into every county. Outreach to the working class to veterans to federal workers to teachers to the middle class in every community in New Mexico is critical to protecting common rights and values. I want to support that work at the state level.
-11D187Stahlhut, Sonja LFBoth my parents were staunch California FDR Democrats so that is the tradition I grew up in. Because my history with the Democratic Party stretches back so far I feel I have much to bring to the party that is relevant again. Since coming to New Mexico in May of 2018 our beautiful state has been reliably blue while at the same time developing and expanding economically as well as providing educational and job opportunities. That's no coincidence. I believe it's important to personally reach out to ALL New Mexicans to show them what a unified committed pragmatic principled Democratic Party can do for both our state and our country.
-11D187Stahlhut, Leslie JaneFSince the day in 2016 that Donald Trump descended from an escalator and announced his candidacy for president I have learned that democracy is not a given but must be fought for each and every election cycle. I am running to be on the Bernalillo County Democratic Party Central Committe because at this juncture I feel that participating fully in the process at the party level is the only way to protect the indigenous peoples immigrants seniors and veterans as well as to pave a way for all of our children and grandchildren to thrive.
-11D187Torres, Carol JFMy name is Carol Torres and I have been a proud Democrat my entire life. My father use to be sheriff and I spent many years working in the County Clerks office and working for Democrats. I remember when it use to be exciting to be Democrat and that joy is gone. Let's bring it back!
-14C123Carver, Adrian N.MI’m running for SCC because the Democratic Party must be more innovative inclusive effective and community-driven. I live and work in Bernalillo County and have spent the last 20 years organizing for social economic and racial justice across New Mexico. As a strategist communicator and policy advocate I know how to bring people together listen deeply push for (and win) real results. I’ve served in leadership roles in nonprofits and coalitions and in the public and private sectors. I am committed to growing the party. I know that building power must be done with the people most impacted by decisions. I’m ready to support the building of systems for nontraditional engagement. We must evolve to meet the moment.
-14C124Avcil, SilaFWhy I am running for SCC is because our state needs more diverse young voices represented in the SCC. As a first generation young professional leader in our state I believe I can bring that perspective and empower more youth to get involved.
-14C124Frieden Templeton, Jacob AaronMI am running for SCC because I want to contribute to the success of our party.
-14C124Grothus, Barbara JFI have been a long time activist in the party and in our community. We are facing the loss of our democracy and the dismantling of our government is accelerating. The Democratic Party is the largest national organization capable of fighting back. Our leadership has been lackluster. We need to be pushing from the grassroots to stop this travesty. Working together we can mount the offense to the outrageous attacks on our communities our neighbors our institutions our land air and water and the life forms going extinct to climate change. Defunding is not defending. We are losing 3 species per HOUR today. I am a fighter. I appreciate your consideration
-14C226Montano, IanMI am a proud lifelong New Mexican Democrat. An engineer artist and the son of two public educators I commit to honor the principles of equality compassion and knowledge for all. I believe in the powers of inclusion and truth -- we can only grow stronger by striving to know each other more completely and genuinely. Siempre voy a luchar para los que no pueden.
-15A4Powell, Ray BennettMMy fellow Bernalillo County Democratic Party Leader Greetings I am a lifelong Democrat licensed veterinarian botanist and plant ecologist current Bernalillo County Precinct Chair (#4) current SCC member former Special Assistant to Gov. Bruce King 3 term elected NM State Land Commissioner and current AFSCME Retirees Chapter 18 Executive Board member. My passion is public service and I strongly believe in the importance of a strong and active Democratic Party in NM. Our working families need active and effective representation now more than ever. I am committed to continue to work on behalf of ALL New Mexicans against the despotic republican federal administration that is jeopardizing our American Democracy. As a union member I believe in the importance of organized labor in ensuring that workers are treated fairly and with respect and dignity. I would greatly appreciate your vote for State Central Committee from Bernalillo County. Thank you! Ray Powell ---------------------------------------- Ray Powell M.S. -15A13Kelly, Susan LFI've been a Democrat all of my life. The first election where I was able to vote was for President Clinton. I've always been a voter donor and volunteer but since 2017 I've been very active in the Party and have helped in some of our successes: all 3 branches of the State government are controlled by Dems we are represented by Melanie Stansbury in CD1 and our entire delegation is Blue. I'm going to keep fighting until we defeat the MAGA scourge in our politics and we are able to implement our Democratic common sense policies that are largely supported by the voting public. I am a Ward Chair and I am very interested in finding out who the non-voters are and reaching out to them. In our Ward that's about 20% of registered Democrats in the last Presidential election. Those non-voters must be in shock right now to see what havoc Trump is wreaking. I think this would be an productive effort for the DPNM to support. I'm an optimist so even with the awfulness I have hope. We all must keep working and doing whatever we can.
-15A108Cobb, Sarah WFI have served on the State Central Committee for a number of years and would like to continue to do what I can to support the State Democratic Party and candidates who are dedicated to working to improve the lives of New Mexicans. I had the honor of working with Senator Tom Udall for close to 14 years.
-15A219Passalaqua, Cheryl AnnFAs a lifelong Democrat and activist I would like to delve more deeply into the party itself and help steer it through the chaos inflicted by the Trump administration. I'd like to be part of shaping the party to weather this storm protect those impacted by his cruelty and project a strong positive image of our party heading into the mid-terms and the gubernatorial/state elections in 2026. I have been a precinct chair since 2017 and vice-ward chair since 2020 working on the grass-roots level to get out the vote whip up enthusiasm for our candidates and connect my community with their elected officials. I would now like to expand into a more state-wide role and look forward to working with other Democrats in keeping New Mexico blue and a safe haven of sanity.
-15B17Klein, Harris IMI am currently a SCC member and am running for another term. During my current term I have concentrated on 2 major issues: the exodus of physicians and the cause which is high malpractice rates and the environment. I have lobbied senators on the malpractice issue and during this session the solutions were divided into 3 committees none of which are advancing any bills. NM insurers pay out $180 for every $100 they take in causing insurers to leave the state or raise the rates so high that doctors. Finding a specialist in NM takes almost a year to get in while in neighboring states it is 60 days max. The second issue is water. The trial attorney group is buying our legislators. I am a grassroots volunteer with Trout Unlimited working with government agencies to improve our streams and rivers. When the Supreme Court did away with the clean water act NM was left 90% of our streams unprotected. The snowpack in the San Juan Mountains is 60% of normal which will cause a continuation of the drought. Our waters need protecting and I am working with legislators to fix this. Agua es vida.
-15B668Christiansen, Terri AFI want to feel better about the Democratic party!
-15C11Swan, Betsey BFI became a Precinct Chair after Trump’s first election a Ward Chair for 4 years and am now a Vice Ward Chair in my second term. I have worked with many dedicated Democrats to engage others on issues of importance to them to develop materials that provide voters with information about how and when to vote and to register and engage new Democrats through meet the candidate picnics. I believe our last presidential election was one of desperation expertly engineered by Republicans over the past 39 years through a system of lowering taxes for the wealthy and increasing the national debt. Over 56% of Americans do not have the money to pay for a $1000 emergency. When George Romney was the President of American Motors he did not earn more than ten times what his lowest paid employee earned. In 2018 the Board of Tesla awarded Elon Musk $54000000000 in stock options. Go to https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1d4LsccgPk2oB7inhN0t07-jRkgLSq0_g for a review of federal income tax brackets and rates along with a chart of what Elon Musk might have paid in taxes under various administrations. To prepare for 2026 we must have strong messaging and leadership. We must be inclusive and united.
-15C126Digiovanni, Andrew CraigMI serve as chair of Ward 15C and represent our communities in House District 15. I have served on the SCC for the past two years and seek to continue to support initiatives of the Democratic Party of New Mexico. It is my vision that the state party strengthen its vision mission and values. I support finding efficiencies through innovative technologies and improving engagement with younger voters. We need a platform that is user-friendly and socialized with our legislative leaders. It is my expectation that the state party will support volunteer leaders to mobilize their communities during this time of difficult change.
-15C191Miller, Stephen JamesMThe political situation in the United States calls for state level diligence. I've been involved in precinct ward city county and state governance for long enough now to have a sense of what needs to be done and how to discern who might be best to represent me at various levels. I'm ready to be serious about reviewing candidates' credentials and making informed votes.
-15C191White, Marcus EMI have been a Free Thinker since Sunday School. While I have worked on and for single issue campaigns mostly Abortion Rights I have made a conscious decision to participate in the Democrat Political Party from the Grass Roots up. Why? Fascists. Never in my worst nightmares did I anticipate the Hate loosed upon not just the United States but upon the Entire World. I remember studying the Fascists in school and wondering how could this happen? Well now I know. I still don't understand but now I know. And what I now know more than anything else is how proud I am of the work I have done in my precinct and that I must continue to work to be Part of the Solution. Please consider my Candidacy to serve on the New Mexico Democrat State Central Committee. Thank you.
-15D192Smith, Michael IMTo work for the goals of the Democratic Party.
-15D192Yee, Jane LFI am running for the SCC to help organize a strong grassroots base in the Party that stands for economic environmental and social justice. I am one of the founding officers of the EJ Caucus; a member of the Adelante Progressive Caucus; a member of SPARC and the Bernalillo County Resolutions Committee. I have worked with progressive activists in all those venues to develop and promote meaningful policies and legislation that truly advances the well-being and interests of working people and people of color. Together we have taken many important issues to the SCC for discussion and vote. I would like to continue that work.
-15D194Indritz, Tova MFI am running for re-election to the State Central Committee. At this time in history the Democratic Party is challenged more than ever before to keep our democracy alive. As a criminal defense lawyer for the past 49 years and as one who is aware of the immigration consequences of criminal charges and also as the grandchild of four immigrants to this country I am an advocate for the human rights of all people in the United States. On every front from climate change to reproductive rights to economic justice New Mexico can be a leader and far ahead of what is happening in other parts of the country. We must keep New Mexico blue and work with the national party to turn the US House and maybe the Senate to a Democratic majority in the upcoming mid-term elections.
-15D375Ames, Jared EarlMI have been involved with the party structure since 2017. As a ward chair I lead a really active ward to advocate for progressive issues particularly environmental justice. Our ward worked to form the Environmental Justice Caucus and I was chair of the caucus for 3 years. I have been a ward chair for about 6 years. Our ward has drafted a number of resolutions at the county and state level. A few years ago the county resolutions committee wasn't able to make quorum. Our ward call all the members to make sure they were able to reach quorum so we could get our resolutions voted on. Since then the Resolutions Committee has been more engaged and meets regularly. I want to continue this activism and continue to bring my voice to the State Central Committee
-15D375Carpenter, Muriel NaomiFThe future of the Democratic Party is at stake given the horrendous events at the national level and the tepid ability of our state's elected officials to get legislation and city/county ordinances passed in keeping with the ideals of the grassroots in this state. I want to help strengthen our state party's power to meet the needs of New Mexicans and to communicate clearly about the direction the party is taking.
-15E220Potter, Deborah AFThank you for considering my re-election to SCC. I would be honored to have your vote. As an active passionate member of our party I’ve also served as Ward and Precinct Chairs. My vision is that in working together we will lead the party to further understand and help resolve concerns within our local communities and throughout our state. The DPNM platform resolutions and rules will successfully guide our political affairs and our decisions will meet this critical moment in time. My professional years were as a PhD scientist and public servant. At the NM Environment Department I protected water quality and helped organize the Department’s first employee union. My federal job in Albuquerque included wilderness protection re. watershed and air quality and academic research. I have been an active community volunteer: encouraging and mentoring girls and young women to pursue careers in science math and engineering; Board of Directors NM Network for Women in Science and Engineering; Board of Directors for Paws and Stripes (Service Dog training for Veterans); national Tester-Observer of potential Therapy Dog teams and pet therapy in medical facilities; Board of Alameda North Valley Association; and Bernalillo County Air Quality Control Board.
-16A169Harrison, Wendell NicholasMActive member of the County Party as volunteer coordinator and associate newsletter editor as well as Ward 16A secretary and Precinct 169 chair. Former Foreign Service Officer magazine publisher Air Force Captain and wireservice reporter. Interested in strengthening the Democratic message and clarifying roles in the party to be as effective as possible against a growing autocratic trend locally and nationally.
-16B27Garcia, Daniel AlfredoMWhy I am running for SCC because I believe in the power of leadership service and accountability to shape the future of our party and our communities. Throughout my years of public service and community involvement I have witnessed firsthand the challenges that our constituents face and I am committed to being a voice for them at the state level. Our party stands for principles that uplift hardworking families protect individual freedoms and promote responsible governance. However to remain strong we must ensure that our leadership is transparent responsive and truly representative of the people we serve. I am running to bring fresh ideas a strong work ethic and a commitment to grassroots engagement that will energize our party and make it more inclusive and effective. I will work to ensure that our party remains focused on its core values while adapting to the evolving needs of our state. I will advocate for better communication between leadership and local party members support strong candidates and encourage civic participation at every level. With your support I will be a dedicated and principled representative on the State Central Committee working tirelessly to strengthen our party and our communities.
-17A171Wilkinson, Dorothy AFI want to be a member of SCC because I want to help get out the vote to make sure New Mexico stays blue It is important that New Mexico voters have a positive image of the Democratic Party of New Mexico and that all Democratic votersare involved with the state party I have had success organizing The Westside Democrats of Bernalillo County and I would bring that skill to DPNM
-17A174Ramirez, PhillipMI am running for the Democratic Party (SCC) because I believe in the values of equity justice and community empowerment that our party stands for. I am committed to advocating for policies that uplift working families promote inclusive education and strengthen our collective voice. I want to ensure that our SCC actively represents the diverse perspectives within our community and addresses the issues that matter most to us such as affordable education access to trade programs and support for local initiatives. By joining the SCC I aim to foster a collaborative environment where every member feels heard and valued. Together we can create a future that reflects our shared aspirations and builds a stronger more united community. I invite you to support my candidacy as we work together to champion the principles of the Democratic Party and drive meaningful change for all.
-17A642Milner, Patricia PaulaFThe fragility of democracy became starkly apparent with the rise of Trump his rhetoric revealing how easily public opinion could be manipulated. The 2024 election and the subsequent threat of Project 2025 aimed at dismantling democratic structures for an oligarchy intensified this concern. Passive observation is no longer an option. This moment demands active participation to safeguard our freedoms. Collective action is crucial to counter the forces undermining our democratic principles. I am running for SCC to contribute directly to this defense to ensure our rights are preserved. Each of us has a responsibility to act to be the somebody who rights this wrong and to collectively protect our democracy from erosion.
-17B89Campos, Ricardo RMLife long resident of NM and party activist previously served as Guadalupe County Chair Santa Fe County Vice Chair Ward Chair Bernalillo County State Treasurer Young Democrats. Active in local state national campaigns elections since 1972 coordinator for Senator George McGovern vs Richard Nixon and have been active ever since. (Just to mention a few as you can see not my first Rodeo and hopfully not my last).
-17B89Kuning, Robert RossMI have served on the SCC since 2018. While serving I have attended all SCC meetings and endeavored to faithfully and accurately represent the wishes and views of my Ward and Precinct members at these meetings. I am running to be elected to the SCC again to ensure the people in my Ward have representation on the SCC. I will continue to work for a progressive fair and inclusive Democratic Party of New Mexico and use the experience and knowledge I gain as an SCC member to encourage and inspire others to get involved in the Democratic Party at all levels. Finally I really enjoy meeting other Democrats and local representatives at the Democratic Party meetings and functions and building relationships to help advance the interests of the citizens of Albuquerque Bernalillo County and New Mexico.
-17B645Romero, John TMHi my name is John T. Romero. I'm running to be on the SCC because it's time for me to be more involved after the 2024 election results. I'm a Professional Engineer with 31 years and counting in the Water Resources field working for the state. I'm originally from Mora NM. This rural upbringing with my education and vast network of elected officials and individuals from different backgrounds gives me a unique perspective on NM Politics. I feel I can bring something different to the Dem Party and I can be an asset on many different topics from technical to non-technical topics as well as sports related items since I coached basketball at the mid school and club level. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely John T. Romero.

-18A343Gentry, Sharon LouiseFI am running for change
-18A343Gibson, RobinFI am running for State Central Committee to be more involved in the Democratic Party in New Mexico. Maybe if more of us get involved we’ll be able to counteract the money and power taking over the world. At least we have to try.
-18A344Akins, James CarlMI am a life-long Democrat active in Bernallio County since moving to Albuquerque in 2006. I actively volunteered in County and State party affairs as well as working for and contributing to candidates at local state and national levels including contributing to Emily's List since mid 1990s and other national organizations for even longer. I plan to continue working and contributing as long as possible.
-18A355Loper, Nancy JFI want to contribute to the Democratic Party at the state level and have been a precinct chair for 4 years
-18A355Petersen, Barbara EFAs a lifelong educator and union member I have worked for candidates and policies that support the rights and well-being of our diverse working community. Sufficient funding for public schools respect for educators and the conditions that support learning and teaching for all students has been the focus of my action. As part of that I served on the APS Board of Education for 2 terms. But for students to thrive their parents need to live and work in communities that are livable and safe. Respect and livable wages on the job health care childcare a sense of security for the future -- these are the things that enable families to thrive and children to learn. As we see institutions crumple and surrender to the president's bullying and extortion we need an activist and vocal Democratic Party. We cannot be timid in offering a real alternative to the current reality.
-18A356Faulkner, Jackson SaulMI'm running for the SCC because I want to have a say in our party leadership.

A party that is responsive to rural NM suburban NM Veterans is diverse (which includes people with disabilities) equity for all people industries small businesses working families and inclusion of all voices.
-18B352Hansen, Britton KaylaFI'm running for the SCC because I want to see our state party change for the better and meet the moment appropriately - we need strong leadership at the helm and I want a say in that!
-18B352Rose, Sharret IFI have been active with the Democratic Party including as a Precinct Chair and a member of the VoteBuilder List team. I am excited to continue working with Democrats to fight for progressive values and our democracy.
-18B353Glickman, Elias MelvilleMMore of us have to stand up and take part in the system to prevent it from breaking in half. I hope that I can support candidates who I believe in and increase my own understanding of local politics and issue.
-18C244Attleson, Sara JFAs a life-long activist and volunteer for the Democratic Party I am running for SCC. The reasons for running are many. As a member of SCC I would be part of the DPNM's policy making as well as helping to implement the Party's platform. As a SCC member I would help promote the election of Democratic candidates. Being elected to the DPNM SCC is a serious role that I would never take lightly.
-18C244Davidson, Austin RobertMI want to continue to be a part of the continued process of making New Mexico the most prosperous equitable and thriving state it can be. Being a part of SCC will aid in my goal of being a part of the conversation as to who helps lead our state down the best path possible.
-18C244Denker, NancyFI've been fighting for Democratic ideals since the late 60s. I am horrified about what is happening to our country and government under Trump and feel I must step up to vigorously oppose what is going on to restore our constitution women's rights and human equality. We must restore our economy to one for our citizenship rather than the oligarchy we now find ourselves ruled by. We must restore the social infrastructure that has made us the great country that we were as well as moving forward to restoring our place in the world stage and being a defender of our planet. I was previously chair of the platform and resolutions committee and helped lead our state to one of the most progressive platforms in the country. I walked the talk as owner of a union print shop for over 30 years. Now more than ever we need committed folks to protect our country and our democracy. Our State Party needs to be more hands-on in understanding the diverse needs of each county. We need to develop support and train local candidates from Day One. As Ward chair precinct chair and member of the Veteran's Caucus I have worked tirelessly to ensure we are connecting with Voters. My experience has shown that success comes from strong organizational skills clear communication and general commitment to those we serve. I believe that since the 2016 DNC National Convention and through the 2024 National Election it has been proven that neoliberalism is no longer compatible with the the successful future of our Party. Let’s all forge a future for the Democratic Party that is inclusive of the 99%. I’d be honored to continue as a member of the DPNM SCC. Please address any questions that you might have of me to cb4innm@gmail.com. Thank you. Charlie Bennett
-19B321Deason, Billy DanielMAs a Vice Chair of the LGBTQIA+ Caucus President of the Albuquerque Social Club Improvement Project and Chair of Precinct 321 I am motivated to show up and ensure that we are making decisions that reflect the needs and concerns of the communities to which I belong. -19C272Belletto, Peter MMHistory is the scaffolding for the future. The Four Horses of the Calumny are roaming across our Country. Their hooves trampling our most sacred document The Constitution. I pledge to work hard to elect Democrats across all levels of government. My focus on the National Level the Mid-Terms Elections. -20A333Alexander, Melissa MarieFI am running to provide a voice for my community which is under significant attack on the national level and to encourage the state party to support my community and work to get enacted policies and state laws which support my community against these attacks to erase the community.
-20A348Blanck, Joshua DominicMIts time to break out of top down party politics. We need to locally reach out to those that are disenfranchised those that lack leadership and direction. They vote out of fear if they vote at all following those that shout the loudest telling them what they want to hear. The party needs to reach out to those groups using the platforms they tune into. We need to fight fire with water drown out the voices of separation and hate on these platforms with voices of direction and reason. We need to address their fears and give direction and solutions not just more rhetoric. I am not a public person to run for public office but feel I can have an important part to play in guiding the future of this party.
-20B290Miller, Bruce HamiltonMI have held party precinct and ward chair positions and was a SCC member the last two years. Especially since state party leadership will be changing this year I want a say in those party matters that are the responsibilty of the SCC. This is a critical time for the state and national parties and I feel I have tge efperience needed for the SCC.
-20B325Timpane, Paul TMI have served the Democratic Party as a CCC and SCC Member as well as the DPBC Treasurer. Every day we see the actions Republicans are taking that jeopardize our democracy. The 2024 election revealed that the Republicans made inroads in almost every county in New Mexico and we have to work harder than ever to keep New Mexico blue. The SCC has a critical role in not only shaping our policies but voting for DPNM Officers that will engage and support all 33 New Mexico counties in achieving the goal of electing Democrats across the board. If elected to the SCC I pledge to be a voice for my ward attend all meetings and fight to keep New Mexico blue. Thank you for your consideration and I would appreciate your vote.

I am committed to ensuring that our party operates with openness integrity and a commitment to the voices of all New Mexicans. Together we can build a stronger more transparent Democratic Party that reflects the values and needs of our communities.
-20B349Padilla, Raymond EricMMy name is Ray Padilla and I’m running for the State Central Committee because I know what it’s like to work hard in rural New Mexico—out in the fields doing the kind of agricultural work that keeps our communities running but too often gets overlooked. I’m running because it’s time we bring our workers—especially those in rural areas—back into the fold of the Democratic Party. We need a party that fights for the people who wake up before the sun who work with their hands and who deserve a seat at the table. I want to make sure our voices are heard and respected in every conversation about the future of this party.
-20B349Padilla, Brandon RayMI’m running for the State Central Committee because I believe in the power of grassroots organizing and the strength of our Democratic values. Over the years I’ve dedicated my career to electing Democrats up and down the ballot—from school board to Congress—because I know that when we win working families win. -20B349Padilla, Nicholas TMMy name is Nicholas Padilla and I’m running for the State Central Committee because I believe the Democratic Party should be a big tent—one that welcomes people from every background generation and walk of life. As a young Democrat I’m stepping up because it’s time we build a party that doesn’t just talk about the future—but includes us in shaping it. I’m running to help recruit and support the next generation of leaders to ensure our values reflect the full diversity of our communities and to make our party more inclusive accessible and energized. The work starts now and I’m ready to do my part.

-20B660Anderson, Thomas Edward JrMTo serve and defend democracy.
-20C304Carroll, Robert CMI am running for the SCC because I want to ensure that we stop the confiscation of democracy by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. We Democrats must control the state legislature and the governorship to protect the rights and freedoms of New Mexicans. As a veteran and member of the DPNM Veterans and Military Families Caucus it pains me to see Trump and Musk dismantling the Veterans Administration and firing veterans across a host of federal agencies. The Republicans in New Mexico have capitulated to Trump. It is up to us as Democrats to do the right thing and stand up for the values that have made the United States a great country.
-20C305Powell, Charles RMWe have a two party system. I am a life long Democrat not because the party is perfect but because it's so much better than the other party (now more than ever). I am running for the State Central Committee again because I want to keep our state and country moving forward in health care education employment housing and crime control. I'm willing to meet and work with others to keep us moving in the correct direction.
-20C549Powdrell, Byron KMByron Powdrell I'm a lifelong Albuquerque resident and the founder and CEO of Future Broadcasters Inc. a non-profit organization that operates 99.9 The Beat FM. Established in 2013 this station mentors youth in radio blending science math and technology in an engaging format. My community involvement includes advocating for justice housing solutions police reform economic development and early education. My candidacy for the Bernalillo County State Central Committee reflects my commitment to addressing these issues and amplifying community voices.
-20C657Stewart, Sandra JFI am a life-long Democrat and have been a ward chair for the past 2 years and hopefully will be re-elected to that post. I have enjoyed being involved in profound discussions with neighbors in my ward (and sister wards in my district) and in bringing candidates and office holders to meetings to discuss issues. Having gone through the past election cycle with GOTV projects and volunteering for a campaign I am eager to learn more about the workings of the state Democratic party. I would appreciate your vote.

Currently I serve at the Office of African American Affairs with the State of New Mexico bringing a strong background in accounting account management customer service management and human resources. As a parent of three college students pursuing their education here in New Mexico I am deeply invested in the future of our state. I am running for the State Central Committee because I believe in fostering inclusive representation and advocating for policies that uplift our diverse communities. My professional experience and personal commitment to service equip me to contribute meaningfully to the committee's mission. Together we can build a stronger more equitable future for all New Mexicans.
-21A335Bush, Louis RMTHIS PARTY NEEDS TO BECOME MORE ACTIVE IN HELPING THE SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS. THIS STATE HAS MANY SMALL BUSINESSES THAT SEEM TO HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN AND OVERLOOKED IN SANTA FE. LET'S HELP THE SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS THOSE IN RURAL AREAS.
-21A335Bush, Prince-Louis Ritzhaupt IVMAs a young college graduate I see the need for my generation to get more involved in politics. We are the future leaders and getting involved now is necessary.
-21A335Doran, MichelleFI am a strong Democrat and come from a strong Democrat family. I need to help ensure that federal funding continues flowing to New Mexico.
-21A335French, Patricia JFI am running so that our state can once again be blue and not turning purple. There are many democrats that are leaving the party and becoming independents and this has to stop. We need SCC members that will make sure that our party and party leaders are leading us towards a common goal and that is to regain our democracy nationwide.
-21A335French, Latomia BFI am running to help solidify our party. The last election proved that the Democratic Party has lost the trust of many Americans. We need to work to ensure that we never lose again. Our country is depending on us.
-21A335Rogers, La Naeh CilayaFI am running because my family has always talked about politics and not getting involved in our party leaves me out of the conversation. Unless you vote you have no voice
-21A335Rogers, Lemar Christan JrMI am running as a young Democrat who has seen the last presidential election harm my family and many other Americans. We need to work with all generations to develop a plan that will win us election up and down the ballot.
-21A656Caddy, Lynn OMI believe as a Democrat it is vital we stay involved in our community as individuals and a Democratic party and that we stay involved. It is our duty to keep our democracy going on the state level as our current federal government is at a crossroads. I (Lynn Caddy) ask for your vote for State Central Committee Member. Thank you.
-21B316Gandert, Joseph WMI am a lifelong democrat. I have been precinct chairman of Precinct 316 for four terms. I have campaigned and contributed on behalf of many democratic candidates. I have walked my precinct knocking on doors and talking about candidates and issues with republicans democrats and independents. I believe that the democratic party must become even more aggressive in opposing the policies of Donald Trump and the MAGA republicans. My opinion is that one of the most important issues facing the democratic party is confronting the growing economic inequality and the struggle against the oligarchy. Our democratic party needs to stand up for working class people and working class issues. I want to help the democratic party in any way possible to succeed. It is for this reason that I would like to be on the state central committee.
-21B316Paul, Jeffrey BMI have served two terms on the SCC and would like your vote to continue serving my fellow Democrats in NM. I am a Vietnam Era veteran. I retired after 33 years as the Director of Recreation Therapy at the VA Medical Center. I have a strong commitment to veterans and people with disabilities and can be an effective voice for both. I have worked on many campaigns serving as the chief forum surrogate and policy statement advisor for all of James Lewis's campaigns. I began my lifelong advocate for democratic candidates when my father made me go door to door passing out campaign literature for Adlai Stevenson against Eisenhower in the 50's. Yes I'm that old. I am the Ward Chair for 21b. I have been a strong voice for our Party's values. I have approximately 200 Letters to the Editor published around the country. I believe If you see something around you that needs changing change it. The one attribute I have (though some don't like it) is that I openly and loudly fight for what I think is right. I hope you will give me the honor to continue serving you on the SCC.
-21B329Doran, JohnMi want to keep state central committee blue with friends of organized labor
-21B329Doran, Margaret AnnFwe need to keep state central committee full of blue voters from organized labor

-22A570Bryant, Tami ReneeFI am seeking election to the SCC to improve the Democratic Party of New Mexico’s (DPNM) organization and effectiveness. As a dedicated volunteer 100% disabled USAF veteran and experienced comms/web professional I devote my time and skills to electing Democrats and enhancing our party’s impact. My goals include increasing DPNM’s accountability and responsiveness to citizens advocating for a more active SCC role and rebuilding trust in rural counties. As a rural resident I understand the challenges of maintaining Democratic support in these areas and want to see DPNM make more of an effort to turn the East Mountains blue. I hope to see a more transparent and accessible DPNM leadership focusing on urgent goal-setting and achievement for New Mexico’s progress. My experience positions me to contribute effectively to the SCC helping DPNM address the needs of all New Mexicans and strengthen our democratic processes statewide. I greatly appreciate your vote.
-22A570Bryant, Shawn KaelanMI'm running for SCC because I feel future of the Democratic Party is at a critical crossroads both nationally and in New Mexico. The treatment of veterans under this administration is horrendous and as the spouse of a veteran I see the impact firsthand. I believe that we are failing working-class families. I want to help strengthen our state party by refocusing on supporting the working class protecting veterans and building a future that reflects fairness and opportunity for all. It’s time to move our party back to its roots and restore trust and power to the people who make up the backbone of our communities.
-22A570Raines, Deborah JFI am running for the SCC to assist the DPNM with addressing important issues facing NM families: food scarcity education and child welfare. I worked in NM as a family law lawyer for almost 20 years and saw how these important issues affect all of our children and parents; regardless of gender ethnicity and age. My prior background in child welfare involved research and development of systems to combat child abuse and neglect. Now I volunteer at the East Mountain Food Pantry and once again see the urgent needs of our children and families. Thank you for the opportunity to continue to address these issues and needs.
-22A574Rogers, Steven AMI have been an active member of the SCC. There is even more to do now so I want to continue. I want the process to be more accessible and transparent. We need to promote cooperation and inclusivity.
-22A575Murphree, Harold WMI am inspired to be a part of the DPNM as an SCC member. I want to be active -- involved. - Spike
-22B552Crouch, Chris AnnFFor nearly 20 years I have been an organizer and motivator dedicated to bringing people together for meaningful change. In 2016 I was inspired to shift into activism and politics as I witnessed blatant corruption and self-serving actions from our elected officials. It became clear that real change would only come from those willing to challenge the status quo and fight for the interests of everyday people. My sense of duty was shaped by my grandfather an Army Colonel who served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon and my mother a federal court reporter who ensured I understood the law at local state and federal levels. Their influence instilled in me a deep respect for justice accountability and the responsibilities of leadership. The Democratic Party stands at a crossroads. It’s time to move beyond the status quo and create space for a new wave of honest activists—leaders who will restore integrity organization and efficiency to our political process. Corruption has no place in government; we must return power to the people. With a clear vision and strong leadership we can reshape our party and our future to truly serve the working people of New Mexico and America.
-22B554King, Stephanie AFI'd really like to have a voice and hear other voices in these very strange times. I think it's important to speak up and show support for issues that desperately need it. Women's rights LGBTQIA rights equity for non-white people and the environment.
-22B595Moody, Richard LeeMI'm running for SCC because I want to help the DPNM become a better organized more responsive and better run organization. The DPNM needs to answer to the citizens of New Mexico in a timely and efficient manner. The SCC should play a more-active role in how our state's Democratic Party functions and hold our elected state party leaders accountable for their actions or lack thereof. New Mexico is a blue state but there are significant portions of the state that are quite red. The DPNM team needs to rebuild trust with all the rural counties and provide support to help them remain blue or to whittle away at Republican leads in rural areas. Living in a rural area myself I know how difficult it is to counter the rightward swing of voters. That said I believe the SCC can help bring some moderate voters back to the Democratic Party and our shared values. A transparent accountable and accessible DPNM leadership team is necessary in order to win back voters. DPNM's leadership must also have a sense of urgency to set and follow up on the goals New Mexico needs to move forward. Richard Moody Army veteran/family member
-22B595Risner, Claudia MFI am running for SCC because the governing body of the DPNM needs committed strong and effective members. Our state party has a challenge ahead during these turbulent times in DC and throughout the country. We need to rebuild orphaned county parties; strengthen train and support existing ones and be frugal stewards of the generous donations to DPNM. I want to see the DPNM team out of the office on the road meeting people where they are and listening to their concerns. I want effective positive communications that stir people to action. I want professionalism transparency unity accessibility accountability and a sense of urgency in our elected DPNM leaders and their staff in getting the job done. That's what I want and I'm willing to put in the hard work as part of the SCC to help us accomplish this mission. We have less than two years to get our next Democratic Governor elected have our US delegation and NM Representatives re-elected and to recruit and train Democratic candidates to run in every election. I have the experience skill sets and desire to serve as a SCC member. I respectfully request your vote. Thank you. Claudia Risner Navy veteran.
-24A461Nourie, ZlataFI am running for SCC because I would like to continue serving on the SCC while representing our Ward 24 A serving as a Ward 24 A Chair and a CD 1 Chair for the Environmental Justice Caucus supporting and contributing to the DPNM excellent work.
-24A495Sanchez, Beau DanielMI am a returning democrat who would like to be a part of developing and influencing pragmatic progressive policies to elect democrats statewide. Mobilization direction and unity will be key to ensure a blue tsunami over the next few years.
-24B416Muziani-Holland, Whitney MarieFI’m running for the State Central Committee because I believe in the power of working people to create real change. As a former educator I’ve seen firsthand the challenges facing our schools students and the dedicated professionals who keep our education system running. That experience led me to step up as a union leader where I’ve fought to empower educators and workers ensuring our voices are heard at every level of decision-making. In my work as a union leader I’ve organized for better wages stronger protections and improved working conditions for public employees. I know that when we stand together we win. I want to bring that same energy and commitment to the State Central Committee to build a party that truly prioritizes working families stands up to corporate interests and fights for policies that strengthen our communities.
-24C533Douglas De Baca, Nancy CFI took part in the student take over of UNM's administrative building in April 1989. I care about women's issues children's issues poverty issues LGBTQIA issues and disability rights. During the 1990s I arranged PR for the Coalition for Disability Rights who did most of the ADA related education during that time. During the years I volunteered to do PR for the local chapters of NAMI National Alliance on Mental Illness and DMDA Depressive and Manic Depressive Association now called the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance the amount of attendees for the Mental Illness Awareness Week Luncheon doubled and the number of local politicians that showed up tripled. I want to keep working on my people's issues.
-25A377Hardy, Griffin SeanMAs a member of the SCC I will work to strengthen the Democratic Party in New Mexico and advance the common causes we as a Party hold dear. A strong resilient modern and united Democratic Party that represents the breadth of New Mexico is the best bulwark we have against the extremism and factionalism permeating our country and state today.
-25A377Mcintosh, Molly BrookeFI'm glad that NM remained blue in the last election and I'd like to continue to help keep it that way. In 2022 and 2023 as Precinct Chair and Ward Co-Chair I pounded the streets did phone banking and wrote post cards helping Democratic candidates get elected. I was also honored to be elected a Delegate to the National Convention in Chicago. This year I'd like to expand my efforts by getting involved at the State level. I would appreciate your vote to be on the SCC.
-25A432Rogers, Justin CharlesMI want to build power in our party for those who need it most via diversity equity and inclusion. These are not bad words! We can work in communities of young people people of color LGBTQ+ folks immigrants the working class people impacted by the criminal justice system activists and organizers for peace and justice to protect ourselves and get what we need for us not for the billionaires the racists and the fearmongers.
-25B412Canales, Ana LFI'm running for SCC so that I can help get the party back on its feet. I have extensive experience as I was the County Chair for 10 years.
-25B445Olivas, EricMI am running for SCC to represent the values of working people and families across our state. I believe the Democratic Party needs leadership that represents the values of those we claim to represent. As a pro-worker business owner I know the value of the people who build our community. I am a proud democrat but I believe our party needs to get back to its new deal and great society roots; showing that government led by strong community values can solve big problems and improve people's lives. The oligarchs and their political servants need muscular government regulation to level the playing field for working people. The scc is critical to building a party that can win elections and help solve the big problems we face in our world today.
-25C314Dyrcz, John TMI would like to continue serving on the SCC for Bernalillo County.
-25C314Gallegos, Jesus WMI am hoping to increase my participation in the Democratic Party by serving on the SCC for Bernalillo County.
-25C315Benton, Michele KFI am running to support progressive candidates for DPNM like Sara Attleson and Cam Crawford and Julie Rochman. We need them to rebuild a stronger party to represent all New Mexicans in both urban and rural areas. I look forward to working with them!
-25C354Oreilly, Brendan PatrickMI've been a registered Democrat most of my adult life excepting a few years when I worked as a newspaper reporter and registered Independent. I interned in the Clinton White House and am a very liberal dues-paying member of the County State and National Democratic parties. We should highlight the difference between our Party and the GOP so voters know the difference and vote accordingly. We win on viewpoint we lose when the GOP convinces voters they may as well flip a coin or that our Party is out of touch. Though I am far to the left on every issue I oppose a litmus test that disqualifies registered Democrats for office if they oppose select items in our Platform and Resolutions. If a registered Democrat runs in a red jurisdiction then I welcome their candidacy and support them rather than squawk that they're not with us on everything. We should encourage progressives and moderates to join Us. And once a moderate joins We should show them why the progressive viewpoint should prevail and how Our positions are in touch with and best serve the needs of all people in the United States of America citizen and noncitizen alike.
-25C385Lahiri, RomirMI want to have a say in how the Democratic Party operates in New Mexico.
-25C386Coleman, Rachel AFI am passionate about moving power from the top to the bottom so will vote for resolutions and process changes that move us in in that direction. I am passionate about adhering to our core values as Democrats so I will vote for resolutions and process changes that help us bring the Platform to life and help us hold electeds accountable for bringing the Platform to life.
-25C387Collie, James MMThe state party needs persons on the SCC who are willing to stand up and stand behind our state and federal elected persons. I've a track record of supporting capable people who can face down the anti-democratic forces in this time. Members of the SCC will be required to take an active role in the next five years. I've a track record. I'm ready.
-25C387Crespin, Manuel Tony JrMIt's been the honor & privilege of a lifetime to serve as DPNM-VC Precinct-387-Chair and in many other roles at the DNC level far beyond what word limits can capture. I would love the opportunity to continue serving our blue state. I want to be a SCC Member because I believe in the strength of our community and the progress we've made in NM. Our state has always been a place where diversity compassion and fairness thrive and I want to ensure that continues. In these challenging times it’s crucial we remain united around the values of justice equality and opportunity for all. I’m committed to keeping NM Blue not just for party lines but because I believe in a future where everyone thrives. The opposition seeks to undo the progress we’ve fought for and I want to be a steady voice ensuring our party stays true to what is just and right for every New Mexican. As an SCC Member I’ll help create a future where everyone is seen heard and cared for. Together we can ensure NM remains a place of kindness progress and fairness. I’m ready to keep lifting people up and doing what’s right for our state.
-25C387Noriega, Jose EMI am proud to announce my candidacy for the Democratic Party of New Mexico State Central Committee. Over the past ten years I have been committed to fighting for democracy equality and the values that make New Mexico a better place for all. My work on local and statewide Democratic campaigns my service as Executive Officer to the Bernalillo County Commission and my work with our state legislature have given me a deep understanding of the challenges our communities face. I am a strong advocate for working families LGBTQIA+ rights civil rights and equal opportunity. I believe it is vital to protect and strengthen our democracy particularly as we confront the growing threat of the GOP and MAGA Republicans. New Mexico deserves leadership that stands up for everyone regardless of their background. I am passionate about ensuring that our state remains a place of progress justice and opportunity. For the past decade I’ve been active in the Democratic Party volunteering working on campaigns and supporting elected officials. I am committed to continuing that fight working to advance the values that unite us. I ask for your support as we work together to protect New Mexico’s future and safeguard our democracy.
-25D404Hughes, Thomas DMI would like to be a member of SCC so I can help inform the voting public and make sure New Mexico stays blue.
-25D405Froonjian, Michael PMAs an active union member employed with CoA I have been interested in politics. Now retired i have the time to invest . Also our current state at the national is concerning!
-25D436Panaiotis, PMAs HD 25D ward chair current SCC member and webmaster for DPBC and a few democratic caucuses I have an inside view of the operations and needs of the various organizations that support democratic values in New Mexico. I believe the DPNM should support guide but not dictate local county and caucus efforts. I ask that you re-elect me to the SCC.
-25D437Flores, Isaac AlexanderMHello my name is Isaac Flores and I am running for SCC because I believe in the strength of our communities and the progress we can achieve when we come together. As Democrats we have important work ahead to protect and expand the rights and freedoms of our fellow New Mexicans. I look forward to collaborating with you all to build a stronger more inclusive future.
-27B398Foster, Abby ChristineFHello BernCo Dems! I humbly request your support in my candidacy for DPNM State Central Committee. I currently serve as 2nd Vice Chair of DPBC and PCT chair of 398. I am now running for Ward Chair of 27B and for the past several years I have served on both the Rules and Resolutions Committees. I also ran for Albuquerque City Council in District 4 in 2023 and very nearly won! We are all having a lot of conversations these days about how the 2024 election went wrong and what our path forward as Democrats locally as a state and nationally should be. I am running for SCC because I know our path forward has to be together and I want to help the SCC guide DPNM to build up and fortify the county parties in New Mexico. With a strong DPNM we can keep New Mexico blue strengthen our support for our Democratic congressional delegation and reach new voters and new Dems with our message and vision for what our state and country can be. I humbly ask for your support and your vote in the upcoming SCC election. Thank you for your attention!
-27B398Pardo, DavidMI am running for SCC membership because I believe that all politics is local. As we’ve seen in the 2024 national elections with its notorious red shift the line between red and blue in New Mexico was only about fifty five thousand votes. This places at stake our protections for immigrants for the environment for choice and for labor to name a few. We all therefore have to do our part step up and get involved in the messy process of democracy or risk losing it all. I am committed to doing my share. For the last two years I was honored to serve as a member of the N.M. Democratic Party’s Judicial Council where I heard and voted on disputes involving the Party’s rules and procedures. I am ready to do more and there is much to do in the years between national elections. I work as a lawyer for the State of New Mexico and I live in Albuquerque with my wife Abby Foster along with our two boys George and Ezra. Please vote for me for SCC Member in this upcoming election. Thank you!
-27B426Rudolfo, Maria EFI am writing to express my interest in serving on the SCC. As someone who has previously served the Democratic Party and actively volunteered for campaigns at both the local and national levels I understand the importance of grassroots organizing and strategic leadership in advancing our shared values. I have campaigned both in-state and out-of-state to support our Democratic ticket because I believe in showing up where it counts. I am proud to have contributed to efforts that helped turn out voters and build momentum for our candidates. These experiences have deepened my commitment to the party and to the principles we stand for—equity justice opportunity and democracy. I am deeply concerned about the current direction of the country. I believe that strong coordinated action at the state level is essential to protecting our rights expanding access and building a more inclusive and forward-looking Democratic Party. As a member of the SCC I would bring energy dedication and a collaborative mindset to the role. I want to continue doing my part to help shape our strategy strengthen our base and win elections up and down the ballot. Thank you for your consideration.
-27B460Enriquez, Marisol AFOur democracy is under attack. Republicans are coming for us because we are a blue state. I want to do my part to fight back against extremism and keep New Mexico blue!
-27C468Economy, Kathleen MayFI Kathy Economy am running as a candidate for NM SCC. I am now the newly elected 27C Ward Chair and Chair for Precinct 468. I have been a Ward Vice-Chair in Ward 27C and have been past Precinct Chair for Precinct 468 several times. Over the last 5 years I have done the following to promote Democratic issues in New Mexico and my Ward: • Developed a Website for Ward 27C which informs members of issues and events. • Hosted multiple events at my home that: Introducing Democratic candidates running for office Inform Democrats of important issues in our area • I am a member of the Bernalillo Finance Committee. In that role I have reviewed and approved Wards and Precincts grants hosting events in their districts and supported the Bernalillo Democrat Finance Officer. • Walked and ‘door-knocked’ many miles for Democratic Candidates running for office. I have the time and passion to promote Democratic issues in my precinct ward and the state. Please vote for me as a member of the State Central Committee.
-27C468Fay, Daniel RileyMI am seeking re-election to the DPNM State Central Committee because I want to continue championing progressive causes and strengthening the Democratic Party of New Mexico here in New Mexico. I have proudly called this state home for 13 years. I am currently serving as Treasurer of the Adelante Progressive Caucus—an official caucus of the Democratic Party of New Mexico—where I manage finances and help advance our progressive mission. I also serve as Precinct Chair of Precinct 468 in Ward 27C. My commitment is to uphold progressive values promote resilience in the face of challenges from Washington D.C. and ensure that New Mexico remains a welcoming and thriving place for everyone.
-27C468Trujillo-Fay, Carol EFI am running for a second term for SCC because I want to promote progressive common sense values in the DPNM. I am currently the CD 1 chair for the Adelante Progressive Caucus and have participated in protestscandidate meet ups canvassing and campaigning for progressive values. I am fully dedicated to participating in SCC by attending all conferences and meetings and listening to all constituents in my ward and precinct who cannot speak for themselves.I hope to have your vote.
-27C482Collier, Thomas KMNormally my issues are normal ones like health care education and the economy Now my only issue is Democracy Democracy and Democracy We have got to fight to keep our Democracy and the Democratic party is the only hope to keep it alive We have got to fight back against the lies that are perpetually coming from the other side calling out those lies every chance that we can get
-27C482Granados, Leah RudnickFHello I am Leah Rudnick Granados and I am asking for your vote for the State Central Committee. I have been on the CCC for the past 4 years and the SCC for the past 2 years. This is a critical time in our nation's history. I cannot recall a time when it has been more important to stand up for the principles of democracy: freedom of opinion and expression fundamental worth and dignity for all people human and equal rights for all especially those who are impoverished disciminated against marginalized imprisoned minority groups and targeted people of color and of nondominant cultures and religions; free and fair elections respect for and adherence to the rule of law acccountability and transparency of our elected officials gov't separation of powers and checks and balances. Each of these fundamental tenets are being violated. I continue to be committed to fiercely protect and defend our Democracy and our Constitution. I am especially devoted to human rights equity and inclusion for all and promoting the emotional and physical health of all. My life's work of 35 years has been to identify care for and promote emotional health and well being in our youth.Thank You!
-27C482Granados, Tomas RMI have lived in New Mexico for 36 years. My family and I became active in the Democratic Party in 2007 to support President Obama's election. My family and I have remained active in the New Mexico Democratic Party because we are deeply committed to a democratic government for our immediate and extended family as well as our neighbors and friends. I have served on the DPBC Resolutions Committee over the past approximate 2 years CCC for 4 years and recently served on the DPBC Rules Committee. I have held office on the Board of Directors of a national regulatory association on a professional licensing board and on NM legislative healthcare workforce committee. I believe that it is important that we each take an active role in protecting the government institutions that will strengthen our state and our country. In their book Why Nations Fail the authors (D. Acemoglu & J. Robinson) make a compelling case for democratic institutions which have historically been key to the economic success of nations. I believe that we must take an active stance in supporting candidates who promote democratic values policies and institutions! I ask for your vote to the DPNM SCC. Thank you!
-27C482Martin, Sarah CFFor many years I have been a dedicated supporter of the Democratic Party both in Colorado and for the past seven years here in New Mexico. I have had numerous roles in both elective and appointed offices as well as campaign management positions for issues and candidates. I believe deeply that all are to be respected and included. Previous Party service includes precinct committee person County Vice Chair CCC and SCC. I'm eager to continue service on the SCC while making sure we ELECT DEMOCRATS in 2026. Asking for your vote.
-27C593Romberg, E ScottFI have been a precinct chair ward chair and am running for vice ward chair. I have been heavily involved in our party and I am compelled to make our party stronger bring people together and help guide our Party leaders in a more inclusive compassionate direction. I feel that I can best do that by serving as a SCC member. I ask for your vote Scotti Romberg
-27D366Rayner, Kristopher Alan JrMI'm running for SCC because I believe that the only way forward for our party is to put people in charge that will reinvigorate our base and make people proud to be Democrats. We face a contradiction as a party. We are losing working class voters and trying to solve their problems all while being beholden to high dollar donors and their interests. We're losing voters because of our inconsistency and our internal divisions. Now more than ever we need leaders who are willing to be bold and to offer a unified vision of what it means to be a Democrat. If we keep meandering and offering half-baked solutions voters are going to vote for the party that is confident in their solutions even if the solutions are outright harmful to themselves and their community. We are failing at selling our victories to the average voter. We are the ONLY state in the Union to offer free college for residents and it is barely mentioned during campaign season!! I am running for SCC because I want to empower leaders that can make us proud to say that Democrats are offering real solutions to real issues that our working voters face.
-27D451Seeley, GregMTrusted and experienced Democrat leader with a long track record of service before self. Former CD1 Vice Chair for DPNM. Ward Chair and constant volunteer helping elect Democrats across New a Mexico. I would be honored to serve as a member of the DPNM SCC again.
-28B536Britton, Dennis HMI'm a life long democrat and 23 yr military veteran my years of service have instilled a belief in service to others & the up holding of our democratic principles. I believe my membership in the executive committee would be a way to move both the party & state forward.
-28B536Smith, Destiny LoganFI believe that active participation in civic life is essential for a healthy democracy. I'm interested in civic engagement because I want to contribute to a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and where our collective voices shape the policies that impact us all.
-28B536Valdez, Adam VictorMI am an almost 20 year union member and have been a Union Representative for almost 6 years. I sit on a number of Labor Councils across the state representating Labor. Currently I serve at a Trustee on the Central NM CLC sit on NM Building Trades and NMFL. I also serve as VP of El Paso Building Trades Council. The middle class is under attack and if we don't stand united and fight to protect what we have we will lose everything that our forefathers have fought and sacrificed so tirelessly to attain. I promise to do everything within my power to fight to protect our rights. I truly appreciate your support.
-28B540Donkersley, Keith MMI have been a life long Democrat and come a family of the same. My parents Ray and Evangeline Donkersley have been active with the democratic party for over 60 years in Albuquerque. I believe we need more people involved to win back the whitehouse. Since Republicans aren't playing fair we need the strength of numbers.
-28B545Herndon, Pamelya PFI am seeking a position on the State Central Committee because this Committee plays a crucial role in shaping party policies supporting candidates and fostering civic engagement that are most important to the Democratic Party. By serving as a member of the State Central Committee I will assist in the pivotal role of advocacy and connecting with community members to align with matters that are most important to the Democratic Party while also ensuring that the laws and policies that we enact as State Central Committee members follow the needs and interests of the people we serve in our various communities. I look forward to being a strong voice for the community as we fight for equal access to justice for all.
-28B546Lange, Cornelia WFIt would be an honor to serve on SCC in this upcoming term. I feel my experience of being on SCC for over a decade will help me in contributing to DPNM moving forward in the challenging years ahead. I have experience in running for office running and advising campaigns. I have served on the DPNM Judicial Council so I know well the challenges DPNM has navigated. I am particularly interested in making DPNM more welcoming for our older members who are finding the current online voting more challenging than it is to vote in the polls.
-28C530Dominguez, Josefina ElizabetFI submit my candidacy for the SCC because the perspective I bring is critical at this time. As the child of an immigrant I was taught by my mother that the true gifts of citizenship in the United States are the public education system and the right to vote. I became an educator and have proudly voted since I legally could. My motivation toward Mom's goals was shaped by the stark reality of poverty the kind that leads a six-year-old to wish for unlimited chicken as a birthday present. Though I didn’t receive that gift the experience shaped my understanding of what so many children and families are and have been enduring what I've witnessed as a teacher. Our party must acknowledge the desperation and suffering faced by 70-80% of our public school children and their families. Theirs are the voices we must listen to. We must not fear speaking out loudly against their crippling poverty and offering systemic solutions to address it. As a member of the SCC I aim to amplify the voices of New Mexicans facing dire living conditions to offer them hope and to help our party articulate the values that will strengthen us all.
-28C565Lechuga-Tena, IdaliaFI'm running for SCC because my 2023 campaign for Albuquerque City Council showed me firsthand the challenges we face. Despite running against a MAGA Republican with no experience I lost by just four points in a campaign marked by racism sexism and discrimination. As an immigrant this is personal to me. We have the power to push back against extremism but it requires persistence and engagement at every level of government. Local politics shape our communities and we must stay involved to create meaningful change. ABOUT IDALIA: Idalia is the first naturalized woman from México to serve in the NM Legislature. Fluent in four languages she holds degrees in Economics Political Science and International Politics from UNM with additional studies in Mexico Spain Paris and published research on immigration. A former International Ambassador to the USA for Global Peace Idalia is actively involved in several boards including the NMPhil Meals on Wheels NM the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation and Global Give A Book. Idalia is an entrepreneur rancher artist violinist opera enthusiast ballet dancer winemaker and holds a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo. Idalia is married and enjoys spending time with family and her Chihuahua Tekila.
-28D397Wilder, Julie AFI am running for SCC in order that the voice of my neighbors precinct and community will be represented when decisions are made at the State level of the Democratic Party. I have been the Chair of Precinct 397 (previously 454) since 2020. I actively communicate and work with my Ward Chair (28) and fellow Precinct Chairs to elect Democrats to office and keep my precinct members informed about candidacies and ongoing local opportunities to get involved. I firmly believe it is important to keep myself and my neighbors informed and involved in local politics. This time of chaos in Washington DC is not an invitation or excuse for Democrats to go into shock or panic it is a time to get to work. I will elect leadership that present a strong case for action and organization. I am a scientist by training and I am driven by data. I will make careful well-informed decisions when given the opportunity to vote. I will be open to being informed by my precinct members and will vote with the confidence that my decisions are based in facts and background information based in truth.
-28D428Dix, Mary AnnFI have served in the roles of Precinct Chair CCC member and SCC member. I have been elected to serve my second term as Chair of Ward 28D. The experience of working with ward and precinct chairs and with the leadership at the county level of the party has been educational collaborative and supportive. I consider the role of an SCC member to be very important as the choice of our state leadership the adoption of state party policies and adherence to our state democratic values is more critical than ever. I am looking forward to robust and collaborative leadership by the SCC.
-28D428Rhoads, Kathryn RFI am newly involved in the Democratic Party and feel my contributions will be important in shaping our state policies. I want to help elect democrats and put Trump and his cruel policies behind us. I am willing to work hard to reestablish democracy and fairness as guiding principles in our country.
-28D520Steinkamp, Mara PFThe leadership of the NM Democratic party will set the tone for how we deal with the current issues facing our state. I want to be a part of deciding our leadership and helping our party gain strength during these difficult times.
-28D522Jones, Kenneth LeeMI want to use my skills to build a bold vibrant and progressive Democratic Party in Bernalillo County in New Mexico and in the USA.
-30A359Mack, Carolyn JFI have been a SCC member for 14 years. I would like to continue the interaction with members statewide to fight this Republican administration from within. Thank you for your consideration Carolyn Mack
-30B490Orr, William FMI am a current member of the SCC ward chair for 30B board member of Indivisible Albuquerque and chair of the DPBC Rules Committee. I want to be part of the group that elects the next leader of the DPNM as that psoition will be critical going forward with the 2026 elections. The party needs to change its thinking on reaching NM voters understanding their concerns and demonstrating how the Democratic party is best positioned to meet those needs. I would appreciate your vote. Thanks
-30C498Chavez, James AMI'm a running for SCC because I believe we need strong leadership in these troubling times. I currently serve on the CNM Governing Board having run twice for election. I'm a recently retired civil practice attorney so I have the time and experience required of SCC members.
-30C499Warne, Barbara EFI have been involved in the New Mexico Democratic Party since 2012 when I was a fellow for the Obama campaign. Then I got into local politics when I became a precinct chair. Then my ward chair moved and I had a ward to deal with by myself which I slowly put together. I turned the ward over to a younger person and went back to being a precinct chair. But that didn't work out as planned. Then the census happened and I found myself in a new Ward with precinct chairs who were willing to walk most of their precincts for two candidates at the same time (our State House Rep and our State Senator). I was trying to find a way to really do coordinated campaigns (so that we knock on our neighbors doors once for all Democratic candidates). Each candidate sending out separate people to knock on the same doors seems to be less than efficient. I will push for getting better at coordinating campaigns where candidates get better service from mostly local (neighborhood) volunteers (where possible of course) who voters come to recognize from election after election. Hoping for a state party which works towards this.
-30D583Assed, SamiaFWe need a strong SCC that is reflective of the base of our Party. My voice as a Palestinian Muslim American I will definitely bring strength authenticity and a much needed perspective . As a long time democrat feminist human rights activist and community organizer I know how Important it is for us to be United in a strategy to fight facism and protect our Democracy. We all know the fight ahead of us will be the fight of our lifetime. I take my role as an SCC member very seriously and this is why I am running for another term on the SCC humbly ask for your support!
-30D583Duryea, Jennifer LynnFI have been a registered democrat for over 25 years. I am currently the PCT chair for 583. I have supported women’s rights and the unhoused community in various volunteer engagements. In these unprecedented times I am running to fight the nation’s trend towards fascism and to keep New Mexico blue. I humbly ask for your support and your vote in the upcoming SCC election. Thank you for your attention!
-31A447Barudin, Ann ChavezFGood afternoon fellow Democrats! My name is Ann Chavez Barudin. I am running for the 2025 State Central Committee; I am a proud Pueblo woman and a proud democrat. I have been past and now current 2025 Precinct Chair of Ward 31A. I have been involved in the Democratic Party for much of my life following the examples of my grandfather and father who were proud democrats. I stand for democracy civil rights our right to vote veterans and environmental rights. I believe that the urgency for a more progressive leadership is tantamount to the future of our Nation and our children. We need to elect leadership that will stand for our democracy and rights as guaranteed by our Constitution. I live in Bernalillo County but my family and community are in Sandoval County. I have long participated in both Bernalillo and Sandoval County Democratic Parties; therefore I work two-fold in contributing to my Pueblo community and Bernalillo County. In my community of Kewa Pueblo we have organized grassroots events including candidate forums fundraising events and have been constantly present in local state and federal elections. I ask for your consideration and your vote to be a SCC member.
-31A447Moseley, Kathleen AFKATHLEEN MOSELEY I am running for State Central Committee to help strengthen democracy by 1.) Holding legislators accountable to the platform and resolutions by working with caucuses and enlisting their help in more report cards on issues directly related to resolutions and continued involvement of legislators in the resolutions process to make democracy deliver. 2.) Increase Dems efforts to deliver specifically on concerns related to corporate price gouging this year as mentioned in HB17-understand how to study that and support the task force 3.) Continue to explore mass texting at the ward level to increase local communication in precincts
-31A541Peterson, Carl LMI am running for membership in SCC to support improved transparency in all party processes and to work with my felllow Democrats towards the defeat of the current administration and the GOP in 2026
-31A592Haase, Cheryl LynnFWith what's happening at the federal level our state party is even more important. As an educator mother and a citizen I care about enacting gun violence prevention laws such as an assault weapons ban. I also care about education and addressing the serious issues which will occur if the Department of Education is abolished.
-31A683Findley, Lane ThomasMI am applying to be a member of the Democratic South Central Committee because I am committed to the democratic values that make our state and country strong. I support diversity and personal health choices. I am deeply concerned that these values have been eroding and need to take a stand to protect them. I am passionate about education. I believe in supporting teachers and expanding educational opportunities from pre-school through higher-education. I am retired but taking classes at UNM and fortunate to be able to take advantage of New Mexico’s commitment to lifelong learning through senior discounts. I would like to see additional efforts made to make education affordable statewide to all our citizens. A strong education system is essential to our state’s economic success. This begins with ensuring teachers have the resources they need but also includes making education affordable. Doctors and other skilled professionals are more likely to stay in New Mexico if they are educated here. I am a strong advocate for volunteerism. I believe in investing in grants that support volunteer organizations providing social services to our communities. This investment saves money makes our state better and enriches lives.
-31B392Galloway, Nancy JaneFI've been in Albuquerque for 25 years. I was a Democratic precinct chair during the first Obama campaign. I had great hopes for the Democratic Party at that time. Now it seems that the party has gone astray and many Americans who once embraced the party have abandoned it. I'd like to help realize the ideals and goals the party once held dear by becoming a delegate to the State Central Committee. We need to get it right for 'we the people' and we need to do so quickly. Thank you.
-31B537Durzo, Judith LFI am a (mostly) retired attorney having practiced for 40 years as a litigator handling cases ranging from constitutional and civil rights to nonprofit to animal law. I have worked as an independent administrative hearing officer for the City County and State and I have chaired New Mexico Medical Review Commission medical malpractice hearings for 33 years. A New Mexican for 50 years I am a lifelong Democrat and volunteer my time to support democratic ideals by writing letters knocking on doors working the polls as a judge and helping to oversee the counting of ballots. I think it’s critically important to be involved in politics right now as the very foundations of our democracy are at stake.
-31B537Moonka, SunitaFI retired as Cyber Security Manager from Sandia National Labs and N3B Los Alamos after 20 years of service combined. I am a lifelong Democrat and have voted in every local mid-term and Presidential elections. Not only that my husband and I donate to the democratic party (local and National) and volunteer for them (knocking on doors write post-cards making phone calls etc.) I will be Vice Ward Chair for ward 31B (2025). I am Committed to the democratic values that all people have natural rights to Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. The idea of natural rights is the foundation for modern ideals of human rights. As a member of SCC and vice chair I will work hard to support democrats in every possible way including perform Grassroots organizing build relationships with neighbors friends and strangers to connect with people through shared values so we can sustain our democracy.
-31B537Solomon, Thomas AMAs chair of NE heights Ward 31B for 16 years and an active SCC member I care deeply about my country state and the Democratic Party. I have and will continue to work to make our party strong and fight the fascist takeover we see before us.
-31B681Jacobus, Kristine DFI am running for SCC having been a member in previous years I am well aware that our party needs persons with experience that can provide information and guidance to those persons who would need advise. Having worked with Senator Jeff Bingman Governor Bill Richardson and many others campaign jas allowed me to recognize that importance of electing Democrats. I ask for your vote for SCC. Thank you!
-31C422Gallegos, Donald AMI intend to I change our party to reach out to our voters who have been left behind to seek out and find the voters we have left behind going back to rural Dems and listen to what they want not what the party wants for them!
-31C589Elfarissi, Bushra SFDemocrats are growing increasingly disillusioned with the Democratic Party at every level from local to national. With so much at stake that I couldn’t begin to describe in under 200 words if I tried it’s imperative that the Party lives up to its promise as a force of positive change. We need effective potent leadership that will ensure Democrats no longer remain witnesses to their own Party’s decline in popularity but rather champions of its core values— fighting for the true backbone of our great state and our nation- the working class. From my role as DPNM Digital Director to Young Democrats of NM Vice President I’ve remained steadfast in my commitment to ensuring that the Party doesn’t fall behind in our rapidly evolving political landscape. I’m running for SCC because as a young person facing an uncertain future and deeply afraid of our country’s current momentum I see the power of grassroots action at the local and state levels. Now more than ever we need leaders who recognize that lasting change starts from the ground up- and I’m ready to be part of this Party’s effort to build a stronger more inclusive and forward-thinking Democratic movement in New Mexico.
-31C682Herring, Edwin AMMy name is Edwin (Alex) Herring and I am running to represent Bernalillo County on the State Central Committee (SCC). As a special education teacher at Lew Wallace Elementary School in downtown Albuquerque I am passionate about advocating for students and families throughout our community and across New Mexico. In today’s challenging political climate it is crucial that we encourage greater participation from younger members of the Democratic Party. I believe that fresh perspectives can invigorate our party and strengthen our connection to voters. My goal is to bring new energy and innovative ideas to the SCC ensuring that our party platform authentically reflects the needs and aspirations of all New Mexicans. Together we can work toward a more equitable future for our state. Thank you for considering my candidacy.

-68A217Hernandez, EstelaFHello Democratic Party of Bernalillo County leaders and members My name is Estela Hernandez (she/her/ella) a native New Mexican lifelong Democrat and Executive Director of Emerge New Mexico. My passion for justice and equity has led me to a career in public service. I am both an alumna and now the Executive Director of Emerge New Mexico where I work to recruit and train Democratic women to run for office. I’ve also served as a lobbyist for health and social justice organizations including Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains the ACLU and Civil Legal Services advocating for legislation that benefits New Mexicans. Before moving to Albuquerque I served as Chair of the Democratic Party of Doña Ana County and as Latino Constituency Organizing Director on Congressman Gabe Vasquez’s initial campaign. Improving people’s quality of life is what drives me. I would be honored to continue working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and to serve on the SCC.

-10A106Guerrero, SelindaFI am running for the SCC to continue to work for the party. I am a community organizer movement builder network weaver and advocate. My work is building relationships with the community to build people-power for the beautiful vision of Freedom and Self-Determination we have for the communities we need. Selinda as an organizer says her main work is to lift the voices of the voiceless” as a grassroots human rights activist and organizer. Her political organizing home is with Millions for Prisoners NM / IWOC Save the Kids from Incarceration and ABQ Mutual Aid. I believe these values of community first and working direct with communities to problem solve and build together are imperative to moving the party forward. We have big work ahead of us in these very uncertain times our connection and relationships are the most important protections we have to not just survive but to build the true democracy we all need.
-10B91Reynolds, Angela LFAs a lifelong educator member of the Democratic Party rank and file member of the the Albuquerque Teachers Federation and NMEmerge Graduate (Class of 2008) it is my duty to stand up against the tyrannical regime that is currently destroying our country by helping to shape the policies endorsements and priorities for the party going forward. In this way I can ensure that the party reflects the needs and values of my community and bring unrepresented voices into our state conversations.
-10B98Turley-Corbett, Karen KFI am running for SCC to support any change that will make the party stronger more focused and directed towards opposing Trump and those who support him and the havoc he is wrecking on our nation our state and our well-being.
-10C97Ward, Janet KayeFThis is truly a pivotal time in our nation and in our State in the fight for Democracy. Hopefully we all join together in this fight to protect it.
-10C97Zamora, Steven MichaelMLet's keep New Mexico Blue!
-10C288Trujillo, Robert TMI am running for SCC for another term to continue to support the Democratic party in my community.
-12A72Baade, Robert DMI believe in my community and want to represent my neighbors
-12A72Pino, Lorenzo JMI want our party to be a strong party and not one with so many internal issues.
-12A77Julienne, Astrid MFI am running for SCC because I believe in our democracy and I have a vested interest in the Democratic Party of New Mexico becoming more actively progressive and thereby successful in not only advocating for but actually establishing policies that will benefit and better the lives of the people of New Mexico for the future of our children grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I have been a sometimes more sometimes less active participant in both the DPBC and the DPNM for nearly 20 years but I have always participated in our democracy on some level because I believe that maintaining our democracy is up to us. We cannot ignore what is happening as our rights are being stripped away and our Constitution is made impotent and we cannot pretend that the goal of the blatant dismantling and destruction of government departments and the fundamental structure of our (heretofore} functioning government itself is to end America as a free and democratic nation. We must speak up and make ourselves heard and I humbly ask for your vote to be your voice.
-12C142Lester Young, Andrea DFI would like to keep NM blue and protect our rights.
-12C142Young, Melton E IIMI want to keep NM blue and too make sure women's rights immigrants and education are protected.
-13A59Caballero, Ricardo CarlosMI serve as Ward Chair have served as Precinct Chair and have been an elected SCC member for over ten years. I am the former Public Education Commissioner District 1 and recently was a board member of Robert F. Kennedy Public Charter School. I currently serve as a Board member of the New Mexico Library Foundation. I also serve as a member of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens). I am deeply concerned with our Public Education system's failure to address educational attainment for our children's future success and have been active in upholding our State Platform's commitment to public education. My work in the Democratic Party began as a young college student in the Party's voter registration and education programs while I lived in El Paso Texas. I have continued this activism leading many voter registration efforts with the Southwest Voter Registration Project. It is my belief we have to always create streams of new voters and pathways to leadership to keep our party active and engaged to ensure we remain inclusive diverse and representative of our communities. I believe in participatory democracy and I spend much time helping to mentor new generations of party activists. Thank you.
-13A59Roybal Caballero, Patricia AFI'm a lifelong Democrat have served as State and County Parliamentarian have served as an SCC member for ten years Precinct Chair and I'm an elected State Representative District 13 serving my 7th term. I've served on the Affirmative Action Committee and Rules and Resolutions. This exemplifies my dedication to our Democratic Party values and principles and my commitment to upholding and defending our Party Platform. I am a retired Community Economic Development professional and spent my life as a community and labor organizer. While living in El Paso Texas I was honored to also serve as El Paso County State Executive Committeewoman and served on the Texas Rules Committee while leading the County Elections voter registration and education programs. I will continue to do my part to influence and lead this change to defeat the Trump Agenda once and for all! Thank you.
-13A138Romero, Keith JMHello Democrats. I am running for SCC to support the Democratic party. To stand up for democracy. I have recently been elected as ward chair for 13A. I ask for your consideration to be elected for SCC. Thank you Keith
-13B52Gonzales, Prescilliano MatthewMI am running for the SCC to ensure that Union's and members have a voice within the Democratic Party. It is imperative that we do everything that we can to ensure fair elections without interference from dictatorship and those that wish to take away our democracy. I am a Union business manager and New Mexico Building Trades trustee I have no problem fighting against the establishment and those who would have rather have us work for the company store begging for scraps from the fat cats table. If we don't fight to reenter the Democratic Party and its goals we will see more of those who will leave the party and join forces with the Republican agenda. Democracy is too fragile to stand on the sidelines. I have demonstrated over the last 15 years that I stand with Democrats and making sure that they are elected serving the needs of the people. I have lived in district 13 B for the last 33 years and was born and raised in Albuquerque South Valley. The time to fight is now!
-13B54Henley, AmyFI am running for SCC to support the Democratic party. To keep NM blue. Thank You Amy
-13B146Harrison, Wanda JFMy work history is 31 years at the Clerk's Office for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio - Eastern Division at Columbus where I learned to treat people fairly and equitably. I want to represent the underrepresented southwest corner of Albuquerque by helping the DPNM grow and become more inclusive. Using candidate information written in Spanish pre-COVID I canvassed my precinct and increased voter turnout for governor. GOTV is vital to me. During the last election cycle I paid for postage on 1300 postcards and my team mailed 1700 postcards to encourage votes for CD2 Rep. Gabe Vasquez. I posted 50 postcards to the White House regarding Elon Musk for Indivisible National with #TheIdesoftRump. I financially support the state party and the county party monthly. My current full-time job is as a caregiver for my 82-year-old brother with Cerebral Palsy. I appreciate your consideration and your vote for me.
-13B247Lucero-Adkins, Antoinette DFI’m running for the State Central Committee of the Democratic Party of New Mexico because we need strong leadership that truly represents our communities. As a medical assistant in women’s health and a mother of two I see firsthand the struggles families face—whether it’s accessing healthcare protecting reproductive rights or ensuring quality education for our kids. I believe in a Democratic Party that listens takes action and stands up for working families. I want to bring fresh energy and a real commitment to making a difference. I’d be honored to have your support so we can build a stronger more inclusive party that fights for all New Mexicans
-13B268Murphy, Carol AFI have been a member of the SCC for over 15 years now. This is a particularly rough time in our country and I would like to be a part of making the New Mexico Democratic Party stronger than it has been.
-13B367Romero, Jacob MMAs a genderqueer Latinx person. I am running for the State Central Committee to represent folks from a variety of identities like mine.
-13B620Ruiz, NormaFI wish to contribute to the betterment of my city and neighborhood by getting involved in any way that I can
-13B638Finley, Mark HMI am ex-Army ex-Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff ex-EMT ex-CERT Instructor. I have a lifetime of public service keeping people safe. I want to continue working to make my community and my State a better safer and happier place. My experience and expertise in multiple fields should be useful.
-14A32Aubert, Robert EMNeed individuals involved so or democracy is protected and intact that is why I am running to be more involved.
-14B64Montoya, David PMI believe in supporting the Democratic party and being active in electing Democrats. Keeping NM blue. Thank you David Montoya
-14B104Smith, Clarence LMI have the experience. May help the party to advance.
-14B135Crawford, Jesse BXIt’s more obvious now than ever that things need to change-that the Democratic party has ceded leadership to people with terrible intent. I believe that the Democratic party must focus on substantial policy proposals that will improve everyone’s lives. But more importantly I believe that the Democratic party needs to be ambitious. For decades now the Democrats have been the party of “not doing the bad thing.” To me and it seems to many other voters this has turned into the party of “not doing anything at all.” For the Democrats and it seems democracy itself to endure we need to advocate for real change in our country. I believe in policies that should be obvious if not for the enduring capture of the party by business interests: a strong social safety net large projects to address housing mental health and addiction and uncompromising support for the minorities who have fallen victim to the backlash to this party’s lack of vision.
-14B135Jencka, Louis AntonM[Who am I?] I'm 30 years old and have lived in NM for most of my life. I'm a graduate student and early-career researcher. I'm also a proud member of the DSA. [Why am I running?] In the face of fascism and lawlessness from the right I want to help build the strongest possible opposition. I believe that in order to be an effective opposition DPNM will need a bold platform and a more active role in advocating for it with voters and lawmakers. Our platform should better support New Mexicans with public healthcare public housing and stronger labor protections (including a higher minimum wage tied to inflation). And as voters are demanding this must include active opposition to increasingly lawless and cruel federal actions. We need to hinder the persecution of immigrant New Mexicans defend queer New Mexicans and protect the environment for all New Mexicans. As a member of the SCC I would push for a bold working-class platform and for a DPNM that vigorously advocates for it.
-17C82Scott, Kenneth Edward JrMI have been a longtime Democrat and candidate. After the debacle that was 2024 it's time for me to get active again.
-26A42Chavez, EleanorFThe results of the 2024 election will devastate our communities for many years. We must strengthen our values as a party defend our democracy and who we are as a society. We must organize ourselves to respond to the attacks by the oligarchy that that has taken control of the US and who clearly represent the interests of the rich and powerful. They don't represent those of us who work hard to feed our families. I want to be a part of defending the rights of workers to organize the rights of transgender kids the right of people to have control over their own bodies the right to a living wage the right of our immigrant neighbors to live without the fear of deportation. We must build a healthcare system that doesn’t decide healthcare based on profits. We must protect Medicare Medicaid and Social Security. We must protect our environment. I want to be part of building a democratic party that reflects these values. I will lend my skills as a community and union organizer to build a party that engages all our neighbors in the struggle for justice. That’s why I am running for SCC. In Solidarity Eleanor Chavez

-26B157Ohiri, Manny NMI am a life long Democrat. Greetings. My name is Manny N. Ohiri. I am the chairman of precinct 157 and a member of the SCC for a number of years. I like to work hard for rhe party because I believe strongly in the mission and the objectives of the democratic party. I am running for the SCC because I would like to help select the best democrats for public office who will have the best interest of our State and our Nation in their hearts and also oppose the divisive policies of the republican party that tear our country apart. I would also like to remain involved in policy formulation and recommendation for the interest and the well being of our people; and the common good of all.
-26B157Ohiri, Daniel CMMy name is Daniel Ohiri; I was born and raised on the Albuquerque West Side. I have been a field organizer for several campaigns and candidates. I'm running to become a member of the SCC. I’ve been an SCC member before and I am well prepared for the duties and responsibilities that are required of SCC members. I have spent hundreds of hours knocking on doors and phone banking for our fantastic candidates particularly our Albuquerque West Side Dems. I am running because the Democratic Party stands at a critical point. Donald Trump's return to the White House threatens the great American experiment. Congressional Republicans are committing constitutional malpractice. Elon Musk and his minions have polluted the national dialogue poisoning the minds of millions with misinformation. The New Mexico Democratic Party stands as a bulwark against Trumpian tyranny. If the DNC wants to win national office it should take lessons from the New Mexico Democratic Party. I am running because we as a party cannot give one inch to the GOP. I want us to expand our reach to every corner of this state and project our influence to every state Democratic party in the country.
-26B157Patterson, Candelaria CandyFMy name is Candy Patterson and I was born a Democrat. I am a longtime community member that advocates for all our children to receive a world class education for our neighborhoods to have a voice in government and especially for democratic values as freedom of choice inclusivity women's rights equal opportunity... Please allow me to represent you and help place people on the Ballot that share our values as a Democrat. Muchas Gracias Thank You - Candy
-26B394Gabello, Dominic PiusMAs someone who has been involved electing Democrats up and down the ballot for the better part of 15 years and seen the highs and lows I want to take my skills and help the party grow.

-29A206Nordholm, Stephen JMI am running for SCC because I want to see a strong New Mexico Democratic Party that will support and defend the rights and freedoms of all New Mexicans.
-29A206Nordholm, Karlyne RFAs an active member of the SCC I would like to continue my participation in contributing to our Dem Party. I'd like to see the SCC as an active robust governing body. We need to call for and accept nothing less than transparency from the party leadership. Simply being a rubber stamp is not acceptable. Having a voice is an opportunity to contribute and build the party rather than sitting helplessly on the sidelines criticizing and complaining. We should roll up our sleaves and help the party modernize with new integrated technology and communication techniques. We've settled for mediocre communications and lack of clear messaging and it's time for that to change. I bring my skills of analyses and project development to contribute to growing our infrastructure and our messaging and our outreach so that voters will clearly recognize the great values Dems bring to New Mexico.
-29B112Boaz, Carl GMI am running for SCC to bring vitality to our west side Democratic Party voters. I will devote myself to increased communications to our voters and assist them in getting to the polls or making time to complete mail in ballots and submitting them. And as a ward chair I will work with other leaders to engender enthusiasm to bring democratic values back to our national capital and to rebuild trust in our nation's judicial system.
-29C57Armstrong, Patrice AFI'd like to help the Democratic Party prepare for future elections and learn more about Democratic party processes.

-68C635Skowran, S MaurreenFI’m running for the State Central Committee to help build a stronger more transparent and more progressive Democratic Party in New Mexico. As a former ward and precinct chair and a 2025 city council candidate I’ve worked to engage voters and grow our movement. I’ve knocked doors made calls and organized alongside candidates who share our values — because winning races takes all of us. I’m a founding member of the Adelante Progressive Caucus committed to ensuring the voices of working people marginalized communities and grassroots activists are heard within the party. I believe transparency and accountability are essential — not just in government but within our own party. I’ve stood in protest against Trump’s authoritarianism and Musk’s destructive influence and I’ll continue fighting for bold policies that uplift New Mexicans: affordable housing climate action reproductive rights and economic justice. CD2 deserves representation that reflects our values and our determination to push for a more equitable future. I would be honored to serve and bring a principled progressive voice to the SCC. Let’s build a Democratic Party that’s not just for the people — but powered by the people.
